Thapovanam Publishers has launched its first book titled Divinity of Numbers-The Science of Numerology, by Norman Shine. With CD ROM.

The launch featured an interactive session by the author which was called 'Know yourself better through Numerology'. Norman, who is from Denmark, also highlighted his research and dispelled various myths surrounding numerology. The book gives an in-depth analysis and clears myths like 'changing names can change change fortunes' among others, that are prevalent in India. It also claims to be able to make people who read it overnight numerologists. For those who do not like books, there is also a CD that claims to do the same.

Norman Shine's association with India is deep rooted especially being an ardent devotee of Sri Satya Sai Baba. His fluency of the symbolism of Indian culture and of the vedas, which he says is the essence of numerology, helps him understand the Indian experience better. He said, "I felt of the need for a book in numerology especially for India because it is very spiritual. I'm afraid it is more spiritual inside India than it is outside."

The marriage of the Scandinavian author and its publishers began in a very interesting way. Thapovanam Publishers is a new publishing house and their motto is to serve a spiritual and social cause. They were looking for authors who could write their books along these lines. Their search brought them in contact with Mr. Shine who was coming to India to pay a visit to Baba. When he finally came down and met Mr. Dhimant Mehta he discovered that he too was a devotee of Sri Satya Sai. No questions asked he agreed to write the book for them.

Equally interesting is the marketing move they have employed to sell these books. They have three versions of this book, so that it can reach out to as many people as possible. One, just the book, another a CD-rom and yet another a package of both-a book and a CD. This was done to cater to the different interests of various people. Said Raman Chaudhari of his next marketing move, "Our next job is to translate this book into other languages."

Norman Shine has been a consultant numerologist for more than 15 years and has been a public lecturer for the same. He plans to start a school of numerology shorty in Mumbai called 'The Shine Institute of Numerology'.
